These mixed-media works on paper are a collaboration between Tatawa and Gina Bonati. They show the evolution of a teacher-student relationship into a collaborative art duo. The work process is spontaneous with very little planning. After the size, shape and primer of the painting are decided, the artists make silent decisions on the choice of material and colour, while they intuitively respond to each other's gestures. In the process, they influence and challenge one another, welcoming contradictions, agreements, accidents, and surprises.
